Hi Lou - and yes, I'm exhausted all the time - even when I wake up! I do wonder whether your meds may need upping a bit.
Take care and take whatever rest you need.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Lou - me too. Jean's right about taking the rest when you can. It's taken me nearly 6 years to get it somewhere near right! What meds are you on?

yes Lou---that sounds exactly like me too. It really does get me down sometimes, I think i could cope with the discomfort better than the fatigue. I fall asleep as soon as i get home from work---every day! And like Jean I am tired as soon as I wake up-never feel as though I've had a good nights sleep tho hubby tells me he thinks i have sleep apnoea(sp?) as i wake up gasping for breath so i should get that looked at but at the monent I'm too tired to bother!

Me too Lou! Fed up with always feeling tired, and if I do anything out of the ordinary suffering with extra tiredness for the next few days!
And now I have a tooth abscess to cope with as well!
My husband falls asleep every night after tea anyway, always has done, and he doesn't have RA so he has to sympathise with me!

Hi Lou,

I'm afraid fatigue is a mahoosive part of our dreaded condition. I feel 50% better since injecting Cimzia. But it's still with me.

I went to a party yesterday afternoon, I am totally knackered today and ache. I wasn't drinking or dancing, I wouldn't mind feeling that way if I had been. LOL

and........you're not being a grump or moaning, that's what the forum is for. consider yourself told off BigGrin

Take care, hope you feel better very soon

Julie - you know you have to go and talk to the GP about the problems with breathing in the night, don't you? I'm sorry to nag, but you need to get this sorted. No wonder you feel shattered every morning. Now, I wonder what my excuse is?!! Love xxxxx

Lou

Yes sorry I am another one who is constantly tired. I never feel as if I have had a good night's sleep even though I have slept for maybe 12 hours. I got up at 10.00 a.m. yesterday and went back to bed again at 11.00 until 2.00 as I could not pull myself around. I had been away for a night enjoying myself so paid the price ten fold.

I too get extremely grumpy when I am tired. My family always know to steer clear when I am, as nothing is right.

I used to feel like this when I was 21 and out clubbing it but now I could not be more boring Mrs average if I tried. RA has a lot to answer for.

Hello Lou,

Just to say that I am in the same Club as you and the others.

It is something that comes with the RA definatley. I went to the County
Cricket Club yesterday with my Mike, and stopped for a meal on the way
home. All very nice, but as the day went by I just grumpier and more tired.
Went to bed with pain killers at 10.00, and did not get up till after 10.30.
Even then I had a a sleep this afternoon. So I also sufferred for an
enjoyable day yesterday

Keep the pain killers coming. I will add though that my RA is not under
control yet and that is since late 2008.

Keep posting Lou

Hi Lou,
Yep - I'm the same too - my hubbie has thought I had a sleep disorder for some time, as I'm newly diagnosed with RA, he has to keep quiet now! It doesn't take much to get wiped out tho, does it ??
Hope you feel better soon,
Fifi, xx

Hi Lou - I think the tiredness is one of the most difficult symptoms to deal with. I wish I had an answer to it, I would make a fortune.

Hi Lou

Me too. I could sleep all day if I had the chance!! Went to the baths this morning for the first time in ages in a bid to lose some of my steroid weight, did 20 lengths and have been falling asleep all day. Still, will give it another go tomorrow.

By the way, you can always moan on here. We are the only ones who know how you really feel.

Thank you ladies, I've got my nurse appointment on the 4th so think i will mention it then, i think as well they are going to increase my mtx dose as well.

I just feel like I'm really struggling at the mo, every now & then i feel down about RA, this week is one of those times, feel guilty for saying that as things could be a lot worse.

My feet have been very sore recently, my body just feels like there is a huge weight that Im trying to pull around, if that makes sense. I've stayed off work the last three days, really must go back tomorrow.

Why do we have to go through this! Its not fair Sad

Hi Lou,

Another sleepy head here and always cream crackered and grumpy. I just can't get it into my head that I need to have more 'gaps'. So used to bouncing from one thing to the next, so when I feel OK I overdo it and then have to rest up for days on end. I know this is not good and its much better to be on more of an even keel but I can't find the even bit of the keel. Life just gets in the way, there's always things to do, people demanding things of you and its so difficult to be selfish. Some days everything seems like such an effort I wander round trying to do different things until I find something I can do which isn't too painful. This is very irritating, no answers just oodles of empathy.

Hi Lou
And me constantly shattered! I dont think I sleep well at night though my hubby says Im always crying and groaning in my sleep everytime I turn over.. I sometimes think the tiredness is harder to deal with than the pain. Good luck next week with your appt.
